F-TRUMP Introduction

The fate of our nation is the foggiest it has been since the country literally split during the Civil War. If you’re scared right now, you aren't alone, because it's a scary time. Every single person of color, immigrant, woman, member of the LGBTQIA+ community (both sexual orientations and genders), person struggling with mental health, child, senior citizen, or just anyone that doesn't fit into the conservative mindset of “normal” is currently in danger. So is there any hope?

Well, if there is one thing that our country’s history can teach us, it is that we are a resilient country. It is still possible to love this country, even though there is a lot that we have to change. The love we hold for the limited freedoms that we possess in America is what is going to help us raise our voices up and fight for some of our freedoms back. The only hope we have for this country is to use our voices whenever, wherever, and however you can.

Our country was never meant to go backwards. We fought for freedom from the British empire and kept moving forward. We expanded west and kept moving forward. We fought against slavery and kept moving forward. We fought against the USSR, Germany, Japan, North Korea, and many more and kept moving forward. We fought for civil rights and kept moving forward. We fought with the women's suffrage movement and kept moving forward. We fought for homosexual marriage and abortion rights and kept moving forward. Now, we have Donald Trump who is trying to take us back 100 years of forward movement to bring us back to where our country was run by white straight men. How do we keep moving forward with someone like that in charge? You guessed it, use our voices. Just because the leader of our country is bad doesn't mean that we get to show the whole world that all of America is like that.

This is an introduction to the website of the Foundation of Tired Radical Upset Modern People. F-TRUMP is constructed by a college kid who is looking at the world around them and is terrified. I am so scared about the fate of our country. I'm scared of waking up one morning and finding out that I can't get married to whoever I want, or that I can no longer have freedom within my school, or that my future career is not possible because of the closing of the DOE, etc. There is so much to be scared of. So instead of locking myself in my room and staying in my safe haven, I am using my voice. I created this website so that you can see what I say with my voice and use it to add to your voice. My words can help educate a lot of people into the current events of our nation, and thus, create many more voices that can and will be heard by Trumpians.

Bruce Springsteen used his voice to show his disdain for Trump at the beginning if one if his concerts. He says that the country that he loves is in the hands of a “corrupt, incompetent, and treasonous administration.” Ben Cohen of Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream used his voice to protest RFK and the treatment of Gaza. He showed up to a RFK Jr. hearing and stood up with a group of people to protest him and eventually got arrested. This isn't the first time that Ben and Jerry have fought against Trump's team. Back in 2018 they released a flavor of ice cream that was called Resist and was made to be anti-Trump. John Oliver constantly uses his voice on his show Last Week Tonight by talking about every change Trump makes and turns it into comedy, because that's what our current administration is, comedy.
